Proprietor and Principle DJ - Gerry

I first started in the disco business as a hobby about 15 years ago. In a massice leap of faith (and to follow my dream) I left me highly paid job as Finance Manager for Rolls-Royce in 2000 and started Generation Gap Roadshow.

Over the past 8 years I have developed the business to cater for a vast variety of occasions and clients, taking great pride and paying attention to detail and recognising the exact requirements of my clients.

Using the very latest in high technology sound and light equipment, I have been successful in aspiring to be one of the areas leading DJ's, who is respected by clients and colleagues alike.

My work has taken me to most high class venues in South and East Wales, including hotels such as the Celtic Manor Resort, Cwrt Bleddyn, Glen-yr-Avon, Llansantffraid Court, and Chepstow Hotel. I have worked in numerous large venues in the Cardiff area including Novotel Hotel, St. Melons Golf and Country Club and the Miskin Manor.

Over the past 8 years I have been resident at Caldicot Castle, and during the past 2 years I have been approached by both Dewstow Golf Club and St. Pierre Golf Club to represent them as their preferred disco provider.

My speciality is Weddings, and I work closely with the bride and groom to ensure that the Big Day runs smoothly. I offer a free consultation to ensure I fully understand the entertainment requirements. Over the years I have forged a strong working relationship with many bride and grooms, venues and Wedding Consultants such as PAB Events.

In 2002 I was approached by Monmouthshire County Council to work with the Youth Council and be preferred DJ at the summer playschemes across the county. This work took me to many schools, where I have since become the preferred DJ.
